Automobiles in Germany's Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Police mentioned they were alerted by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau marked with red-colored substance

Around 50 vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement say they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a individual observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish liquid.

The fluid had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then found multiple other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement state initial examinations suggest the substance was probably human blood.

"There is still no clue as to its source; authorities are not yet aware of any harm in connection with the event," they stated.

Local authorities stated they were trying "to solve the incident" and have asked to the residents for details.

A high-ranking representative stated the vandalism rendered him without words and required to be solved rapidly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack five years ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the death of nine victims by a shooter aiming at people of migrant background in 2020.
